Our charities
We are committed to working with several charities and we regularly review how we support charitable organisations.
The LionHeart Challenge: an organisation that encourages young people to get an understanding of working in business through in-school projects. This year over 30,000 children aged 14-16 years old took part in the challenge across the country. Norland managers joined them to offer support, guidance and coaching in the school environment. Other managers, including members of the Board and the Chief Executive attended regional events as judges to support them at the competition stages. By offering this and financial support to LionHeart, Norland is proud to have touched the lives of hundreds of young people, helping build their confidence and skills and support them with their early career decisions.
Mentor: a charity that works with disadvantaged children across the UK and developing drug awareness in the community. By supporting Mentor, Norland hopes to raise awareness of the difficulties many children in poverty face and hope that by supporting Mentor we can prevent some of these children turning to drugs.
In addition, our people regularly work alongside our customers on community projects. Recent contributions have included the refurbishment of a homeless women’s hostel for the Church Army and fund raising for a local Samaritans group and our regular fund raising for Guys Hospital, based close to our Head Office.
