Project Services

We have a nationwide team of project managers who work with our customer to achieve a single-source solution for the design, construction, installation and commissioning of their projects. Their experience and expertise will ensure that it’s delivered exactly to specification.

For more than 25 years, we’ve been providing a single solution for the definition, design and installation of projects for our existing hard services client base.  This ensures that we not only focus on value but also that the project genuinely provides the long-term solution that’s right for the client. And, of course, that it’s delivered on time, on budget and snag free.

Whether it’s highly technical mechanical and electrical plant installations, or high-specification building fabric refurbishment and improvements, our project managers will ensure that projects are carried out to our clients’ exact requirements, and comply fully with all statutory requirements and health and safety. They act as a single point of contact, and are personally empowered and accountable for the delivery of the project and the ongoing partnership with the customer.

Our experience spans all building types, with particular expertise in banking/financial services, insurance, retail, media, heritage, pharmaceutical, communications and utilities, leisure, healthcare and education. We make sure that our design specifications draw on our extensive knowledge of customers’ buildings, so that any potential problems can be resolved in advance.

We take into account:

  • the life-cycle and depreciation of the assets
  • future operational and maintenance requirements – including input from the building’s maintenance team
  • energy and environmental requirements
  • standard engineering blueprint for the building portfolio

Working in live environments is a particular skill. We have extensive experience of working in business-critical environments when business activities are still taking place – making zero disruption absolutely paramount to the success of the project. Our project managers achieve this by scheduling work at night or weekends, within narrow timeframes.

As part of our ‘least disruption’ approach, the project manager and site team work together on issuing permits to work and escort duties, sealing-off and opening-up work areas when appropriate, and carrying out isolations such as fire and electrical. After each work period, we ensure that the area is cleaned and the building is ready for business again.

Every stage of the process is monitored, controlled and maintained by accurate planning and reporting, QHSE/CDM (construction design management regulations), on-site forums and feedback, and service enhancements and innovations.
