Fast Growth Earns Norland Higher Ranking
Norland Managed Services has again been ranked in the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table of leading mid-market private companies with the biggest sales.
Norland has achieved the rank of 141st place, leaping 48 places from 189th place last year.
In its fifth year, the Top Track 250 is compiled by Fast Track and published in The Sunday Times each October. It is for companies with sales between £140m and £550m and is the next tier down from the Top Track 100 biggest private companies.
More than 200 guests attended the dinner to hear speakers including Lord Digby Jones, chairman of HSBC’s international business advisory board and former trade minister and director general of the CBI, and Richard Reed, co-founder and brand director of innocent.
Other well-known private companies attended including Harvey Nichols, Poundland, Pret A Manger, Sunseeker International, Virgin Active, Pets at Home, William Grant & Sons, Graff, Britax Childcare, Manchester United and Harrods.
Norland is one of the fastest-growing companies in its sector, with year-on-year growth exceeding 25 per cent in the last three years.
Norland chief executive, Ian Entwisle, said: “Our rising position in the top 250 reflects the hard work of the Norland team. This dedication has seen our continued growth, even in the face of one of the worst recessions in living memory.
“We are already working on improving our ranking further in next year’s listings!”
