Phil was a much-respected manager in Norland's north west region and had completed almost five years' service with the company.

Ian Entwisle, Norland's chief executive said:  "Phil was one of the most respected and knowledgeable managers within the business.  Staff at Norland, clients and suppliers are totally devastated and we have been overwhelmed by the respect he had in the industry.

"Norland would like to pass on to Phil's and Pamela's family and friends our most sincere condolences."
